The origins
of Mexican Mariachi music were first created hundreds of years go[1].
It is mainly a mixture of traditional folk music from Spain, Mexico and Africa.
It used to be the country people´s music[2]
and they were the ones, who spread it out and brought it into big cities. Mariachi
music was about the daily lives of the people living in rural areas.
The way Mariachi
music is today, started in Jalisco, Mexico during the 19th century. Typical
instruments used are violins, guitars, trumpets and harps.
In the 1950´s Mariachi musicians started varying the genres,
styles and instruments they were using, in order to play different styles. In
this way they also started to sound more orchestral. [3]
